Tournamental Golf Iron Tool Feature Extravaganza

Tournamental Golf Iron Tool Feature Extravaganza

ใ‚ˆใ†ใ“ใ๏ผ This month I was tasked with creating a feature for a tile based golf game. I’m not gonna lie here, at first I did not know how to do that. However with the grace of the interwebs, I was able to find some interesting references, specifically a game called Golf Peaks, a very simple golf puzzle game that happens to also be tile based. With my infinite wisdom I “borrowed” some of the mechanics from Golf Peaks and added them into my project. Now my version of Tournamental has the ability to pick up golf irons of different colors, each with their own ability.

Red = move golf ball one square
Blue = move golf ball 3 squares
Green = jumps over the first square and ends in the second

With these powers combined, I successfully created a prototype! Which you can watch \/

It was 9 in the morning, I went to sleep at midnight cause I was playing DnD, I was tired

This is where I assumed this assignment would end. HOWEVER, I was tasked with another assignment. That being, take another student’s feature and implement it in my project. I thought to myself, “wow, this is gonna be difficult.” I was looking at the projects made by other students, but alas, their features did not work well with mine. While searching through the darkness, there suddenly appeared a light, a sparkling, glowing light from within the depths. A scoring system! That’s right, a fellow classmate’s project introduced a scoring system based off of actual golf. *GASP* “This is the one” I yelled. I quickly went to the drawing board and after a few days, cooked this puppy up. Enjoy!

Almost the same time as last time but I was more awake!

Side note: I don’t know why, but when typing golf, I type gold instead. ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ
