Level Design II: Spooky Level Thing

Level Design II: Spooky Level Thing

For this class, I was assigned to make a new feature for the game, and create a level around that feature. I had a somewhat difficult time deciding on what feature to implement and how I should design my level. Originally, I was going to create an abandoned medieval town that the player explored and solved the mystery behind it. I then realized that this would take too much time and instead opted to do a “simple” puzzle map, where the player attempts to escape from a dungeon. *1

If you want to see how I designed some of the levels, and coded one of the features, I did a few livestreams on it, so feel free to watch it if you want.

This is the video of my level for when I finished my Blockmesh.

*1: My original sentence was “I then realized that that seemed like it would take to much time and opted to do a “simple” puzzle map, where you attempt to escape from a dungeon.” But my translator did not like my use of the double that.
